Land Patent #10, 1710 - 1719 p 235. 23 Dec 1714. 300 acres in Surry County beginning and extending on the north side of Granitum's Reeds adjoins land of said Lucas, Edward Ellis & John Collier.

2. William Lucas (William) died Bef. 05 Mar 1739/40 in Brunswick Co, VA3. He married Martha Johnson, daughter of William Johnson and Elizabeth.

Land Patent #12 1724-1726, p 157. 22 February 1724. 230 acres in Surry County on the south side of Threes Creeks beginning and extending betwixt Nathaniel Harrison & said Lucas.

Land Patent No. 14 1728-1732 (pt 1 & 2) p 211. 25 August 1731. 130 acres on the south side of the Little Creek, just above the mouth of a branch.

In the Name of God Amen, I William Lucas of Brunswick County being weak and sick of body but of sound and perfect memory and calling to mind the Certainty of Death do make Constitute ordain and appoint this my last will and Testament in manner and form following viz. I recommend my Soul into the hands of God that gave it hopeing and verily believing to receive remission of my sins and Salvation of my Soul thru the merrits and mediation of our most blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my body to be buryed in such Christian like manner as my excon herefore named shall think fit and as to my worldly estate with which it hath pleased God to bless me I give and bequeath in manner and form following viz. Imprimis I give and bequeath to my Eldest Son John Lucas two hundred and fifty acres of Land lying on the South side of Meherrin River in Brunswick County being the land he now lives on to him and his heirs forever. i also give to my said son all my wearing apparrell. I also give unto my said son all the money that owe to me from son John and also give to his two Eldest daughters fifteen shillings apiece to buy back of them a mourning Ring. Item. I give to my son William Lucas (who is now absent four hundred acres of Land be the same more or less as it markt of on the lower part of my land it being that part which now markt for my Son Charles to him and his heirs for ever but if he never come back to Virginia to possess the said land then I revoke the above said gift to my son William and give the said four hundred acres of Land to be Equally Divided between my two youngest sons Samuel and David Lucas and their heirs forever. item I give to my son William Lucas one Negro Wench named Judy and to his heirs for ever. item I give to my son Charles Lucas one Negro Wench named Agee a Feather bed and furniture one Iron prod and my Troopers arms. item I give my Son Samuel Lucas one hundred acres of Land upon the Little Creek on the last wide of a place called the little field to him and his heirs for ever. i also give him two hundred and fifty acres more joining to the same being part of the Tract of Land I now live on to him and his heirs for ever. I also give him a young Negro Fellow named Harry a Feather bed and furniture and Iron prod and my Rideing horse. Item I give my son David all the remaining part of my land I now live on to him and his heirs for ever one Negro Man called Tom a feather bed and furniture one Iron Prod. Item I give to my Grandson William Lucas all my land lying on the South side Noises Creek in Bruns3wick County with all the stock a negro fellow that is non there and every thing else belonging to the Plantation to him and his heirs forever. item I give to my son David Lucas two hundred acres of Land at Moiles Creek and his heirs for ever. item I give to my loving wife Martha Lucas the choice of all the beds in the house and furniture. it is also my Will and Desire that my said wife have the benefit and use of the sd plantation whereon I now live During her Natural life notwithstanding any Lesoning Clauses or gifts to the Contrary and also the work of those two Negroes during her Natural Life viz Tom and agee and that my Sons to whom they were in this Will given not to have any Right to the said Negroes or their Labour till of her their Mothers Death notwithstanding any gifts of provitions to the remaining contrary. Item the remainder of my Estate I leave to be equally divided by these following persons. Viz Moses Johnson and John Irby between my wife and my Sons Charles William and Samuel and David Lucas and I do hereby oblidge my wife and sons to start and abridge by what my said Trustees Moses Johnson and John Irby shall act and doe in the Division of that part of my Estate Intrusted to their care. item I Leave my Sons Charles Lucas and Samuel Lucas to be the Excon of this my last Will and Testament and I also desire that my Estate be not appraised nor my Exon give any Security. in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this 25th day of February 1739. At a Court held for Brunswick County March the 5th 1740 this Will was presented in Court by Charles Lucas and Samuel Lucas the escon therein Named who made oath thereto according to Law and being proved by the oath of Elizabeth Barlow and Joseph Chamberlain two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded on the Motion of the said escon Certificate is granted them for obtaining a probat thereof in one form. 6. Grace (or Hannah) Lucas (William) married John Collier, son of John Collier and Mary Sowerby. He died Bef. 15 Nov 1732 in Surry Co, VA.
